Lillian Rocha Obituary

NEW BEDFORD — Lillian B. (Pepin) Rocha, 64, of Acushnet, was called to our heavenly father, unexpectedly, on Tuesday, July 7, 2009. She died at St. Luke's Hospital of a hemorrhagic stroke. She was the widow of Richard J. Rocha and daughter of Norman Pepin of Acushnet and the late Lillian M. (Morse) Pepin who predeceased her on June 8th, 2009.

She was born and lived most of her life in Acushnet.

Lillian was a hairdresser, a graduate of LaBaron Hairdressing Academy in New Bedford and she was the former owner of Supreme Beauty Salon in New Bedford. Her greatest joy was spending time with her daughter and grandchildren.

Survivors include her father and her daughter, Rebecca A. (Rocha) Tkacs and her husband, Jason of Brewer, ME; her brother, Frederick N. Pepin and her sister, Deborah Bullock and her husband, Stephen, both of New Bedford; her beloved grandchildren, Ronan, Aislyn, Maeve, Quinn, Riordan and Graeme Tkacs; several nieces and nephews.

She was the grandmother of the late Doyle Tkacs.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Autism Society of America, web site is autism-society.org.

Visitation will be Thursday evening 4-7 PM at Rock Funeral Home. Her Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 10:30 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 400 Cross Road, No. Dartmouth, MA 02747 followed by interment at Acushnet Cemetery.
