Lillian had such enthusiasm and warmth. When she heard there was a effort to have a Thompson reunion, she volunteered and reached out to Thompsons across the country. It was wonderful working with her. I regret that I knew her only briefly.

OOgie, I remember with pleasure the time Lillian and Dale visited you in Tucson and we hit the desert with 'noculators. She was solid and strong willed, my birding heroine.
You and Dale are in my thoughts & heathen Quaker prayers.

Dear Ann, I met your parents when they visited my parents in Sweden. I always looked forward seeing them. Lilian was a real person. There was always direct contact, no time lost in the communication, which I appreciated. She was resourceful, not afraid to solve something which seemed impossible. I always thought there would be one more meeting.
