Lilly Townsend Obituary
Lilly was the cherished daughter of Albin and Henriette Joram, who predeceased her. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dr. William E. Townsend. Together, they built a life filled with love and shared memories.
She is survived by her devoted family: her son Larry Townsend and his wife Bonnie Townsend; her daughter Andrea Townsend; her granddaughter Shanthi Caballero and her husband Rafael; Jonathon Purdy; and her great-grandchildren Julian and Jordan Caballero. Lilly is also survived by her remarkable sister, Herta Dietz, who continues to inspire at the age of 106.
In honor of Lilly's memory and her generous spirit, donations may be made to Furkids.org or the Christian Women's Center of Griffin, Georgia (cwcgacom), causes close to her heart.
May Lilly's long and meaningful life serve as a source of comfort and inspiration to all who knew her. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday May 2, 2026, at 02:30 PM at Village Park Senior Living 5701 Spalding Drive Peachtree Corners, Ga 30092

Andrea, I have fond memories of both your parents (and you!). I remember the tribute you wrote about Bill (and your mother) published in the Athens Banner Herald. You have been a devoted daughter for many years. I regret that I didn´t know your brother, but I remember how proud they were of him.
