Dear Jack,
We were saddened to hear of Lillys' passing. She was a courageous fighter. We look back with fond memories of the many times you came to dinner at the Willowfield with Lil and your family.

Dr. Manning and family, so sorry to hear of the loss of Mrs Manning. I'm sure Hank and Ag are catching up on all the news with her. Her faith was so amazing to me, and now she has her reward. May you all have peace.

Dear Dr. Manning and family,
How well I remember Mrs. Manning when I was woking the switchboard at Lakeville Hospital. Every night when you left you went home to your Sweetheart. What a wonderful love you had for each other. You have many precious memories of a true heroine. My prayers are with you and your family.

What memories flooded my mind as I heard from Eunice Dahlborg of Lily's death. I still have the letter Lily wrote to the men in jail where my husband and I were involved in a ministry there. She explained to them how she was, also, in jail. However, her was the jail of her own body and was not of her doing unlike the men she wrote to. In her own style, Lily made a great impact on these men when he letter was read at weekend retreats. Some even wrote to her by way of me. She never played the victim and I so admired her for that. Her great faith was a powerful model to all. So was your great love and sacrifices you willing made for her. I always talked about the fact that there were two Saints living in your home. Lily being one and you the other. May God continue to bless you as you travel life's road without your life's partner and love. I am so sure Lily has taken her place in the Kingdom where she is no longer in the jail of her body.
Our prayers are with you.
