LILY B. WILLIAMS
On Wednesday, August 13, 2014 Deacon Lily B. Williams of Washington, DC lived with a Christian spirit, dignity, warmness, grace and beauty. Survived by two daughters, Marcia Hardney and Eunice Hill (Matthew); one son, Marvin Edwards (Marlene Baker Dunn); five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, loving sister, Annie Hicks of Elyria, OH; an extended family and a host of nieces, nephew and friends. Preceded in death by five brothers and one sister, Roubie, Andrew, Franklin (Gertrude, living in New castle, PA), Paul (Elois, living in Campbell, OH), Oscar and Orangie Lee. An inspiration to her family and they called blessed. She will lie in state at Zion Baptist Church, 4850 Blagden Ave., N.W., Washington, DC 20011, Friday, August 22, 2014 from 10 a.m. until service at 11 a.m. Interment Cedar Hill Cemetery, Suitland, MD. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Kiwanis of Capitol Hill or Hospital for Sick Children. Arrangements by PINCKNEY-SPANGLER.

Mrs Williams was a good neighbor, she was always pleasant, beatiful smile always had encouraging words as she sat on her porch or walking down the street with her walker.also going church on Sunday Morning. Keep your trust in God and he will see you through.

What a wonderful Lady. Always a joy to be around. I will always remember her for that million dollar smile. Marsha, Eunice and Marvin you have my deepest sympathy. You all will be in my thoughts and prayers. May God Bless you all and comfort you in the days to come.
