Lind Dickenson Harrison

Lind Dickenson Harrison, of Lillian Alabama passed away peacefully on Monday, July 14, 2025. Born in Winchester, Virginia, Lind enjoyed his life filled with family and friends.

He shared 63 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife Lorraine, whom he lost in death in December of 2024. Together they raised three children; his daughter Sharon Raimondi and her husband Tony of Derby, Connecticut; his son Scott Harrison of Stratford, Connecticut; and his son Steven Harrison of Headland, Alabama. He also leaves behind two cherished granddaughters, Christina Raimondi of Derby, Connecticut, and Cara Conklin with her husband Patrick of La Joya, Texas. Predeceased by his brother Charles Harrison, he also leaves behind his sister-in-law, Rosanne Harrison and their family, as well as a sister Phyllis Cronin and her family along with many other precious family members.

Lind grew up in Winchester, Virginia. He also served in the Air Force and after coming out of service Lind married Lorraine and they settled in Stratford, Connecticut. While providing for his family and raising 3 children, Lind was an expert mechanic and an excellent shop foreman. He loved football and watching his favorite team, The Dallas Cowboys as well as the Nascar races. In retirement, Lind and Lorraine relocated to Lillian, Alabama, where they enjoyed their golden years together.

Lind enjoyed working with his hands creating many things in his workshop. Above all, he enjoyed outdoor activities like camping, boating, fishing, waterskiing, jet skiing and traveling in his motorhome with friends. His strength and love as a husband, father, grandfather and friend was felt by all who knew him.

Lind's legacy is one of courage and love. May we all find comfort in remembering this great man and all that he has done for each one of us. He will be deeply missed.
