I worked for Linda as manager of her rental properties. I admired her work ethic, and enjoyed spending time with her on our journeys to Southwest Harbor and Freeport. She was a true business woman and will be greatly missed. My condolences to her family. Neva Joseph

My wife Sandi and I send our Prayers for the Peace that Passeth Understanding on the passing of Linda Bean.
I met her only once, but I remember it well, and it was a warm and engaging encounter here in Wilmington, DE, at the site of her late-in-life philanthropy with the Intercollegiate Studies Institute (ISI). Remarkably, given her conservative leanings, here at ISI, we were located just a few blocks from the home of soon-to-be USA POTUS Joe Biden.
We talked of the issues that inspired each of us, as well as her growing interest and affection for our -- as I call it -- "overgrown small town of a State" of Delaware.
Linda was down-to-earth, approachable, and authentic, leaving me with a sense of her genuineness as a person!

Sincere condolences goes out to friends and family of Linda. I never personally knew her but I was a distant relative of hers. My father and Leon was 3rd cousins. She was a wonderful person who did a lot of good for the State of Maine. The Lord blessed her in many ways and I'm sure she is safe with him.
May her children pass on her legacy and her grandfathers. Sincerely, Diane Bean, Auburn Maine
