Linda was such a special person,
I enjoyed making music with her as she lead us in chapel choir at MUMC. Ironic to see her struggle with Alzheimer´s, realizing all the years she brought the healing power of music to area nursing homes. I fondly remember singing a duet with her at Christmas time.
I was so touched that Carey was able to bring her loving touch to Linda. May God´s grace be with you and your family
Peace, Steve and Carey

Dear Jerry, As you know, Linda and I met in elementary school at Anniston, Mo so many years ago! I have a huge reservoir of memories of my dear friend. She and her mother, Norma, taught me to play piano, accordian, autoharp and how to read music. Linda and I sat together at church at Gravel Ridge Baptist every Sunday for many, many Sundays! She showed me how to sight read(sing) using the Broadman Hymnal. Of course, on the lighter side, we went out to movies, Johnny's Drive-in(that's another story :-), bowling and many other adventures ;-). I will miss sitting and visiting with her during my yearly return trips to MO. She was a blessing to me and to all who were privileged to know her. God bless you, Jerry, and be with you during this sad time.

I loved this lady for her kindness and sensitivity. She gave me much joy in Chapel Choir. With her assistance my daughter, Dana and I did a Mother's Day duet, which will always be one of my most cherished memories. Till we meet again, dear heart.

I knew Linda from our time working together at Manchester UMC when she directed the Chapel Choir. She was always such a beautiful spirit and patient, loving soul. A bright light has left our world, but I trust that she's shining on other shores, receiving back all the love she gave away. Rest in peace.

I have many fond memories of sharing an apartment with Linda and Barbara after college. We all taught in the Fox School District. Linda taught 2nd grade, I taught third grade and Barbara taught 4th. Some friends had misunderstandings living together but we never did. Weekends were usually filled with get togethers among Southeast Missouri State friends. I will miss her Christmas cards and chats reminiscing about those wonderful days.

Linda brought light, laughter, and music to life with an ever-glowing spirit. She didn't know a stranger. She brought to much joy , hope, and healing into the lives of those struggling and suffering in life. Her singing and folk songs entertained us all and now they're in an eternal choir! She loved and is loved richly! May God bless those feeling her loss with comfort and peace knowing she rests in the palms of our Lord's hands. Blessings

Jerry so sorry for your loss. I know your family had been friends with your family for so many years. My brother Pete Sahm had been good friends with you and David. I know he would be sad to hear your news. He himself passed February 2021. Still remain close to Donald Castillon's daughter Renee, whose grandmother was my dad's (Big Pete Sahm} sister, Loretta who was married to Bud Castillon. May God comfort you and your family.

Jerry, Kip and Jessica..I’m so very sorry for your loss. Your family has always been an extension of my own and my Aunt Linda was one of the sweetest and kindest people I ever had the privilege and honor of knowing. I have such fond memories of cookouts, piano lessons and great laughs with her. I know she loved all of you and I understand how much it hurts to lose her. I have no doubt that she and my Dad are up there laughing and sharing their love of music together. Its been such a battle for all you over the last 7+ years, and I hope you can all find some peace knowing she is finally free of the awful disease she fought so hard through. My love and prayers to all of you, and I will always remember her beautiful smile and the kindness and love she shared with all of us. ❤

One of my fondest memories of living on Mar El Court was the Christmas Caroling Linda would orchestrate each year when all of us kids on the street were young. We would go around to all of the houses on the street and then the entire neighborhood would end up back at the Castillons for a nice get together. I also remember the hours of piano lessons and how patient Linda was. She will be missed!!
