Linda Clark Cavanaugh, of Clinton, MD, passed away on September 22, 2022 at the Charleston Assisted Living Facility in Waldorf, MD. She was born on December 8, 1928, in Edgecombe, North Carolina, to her father, Joseph Linwood Clark, and her mother, Maude Pritchard Clark.

She was predeceased by her husband William Cavanaugh Jr. of 71 years on September 19, 2022. She is survived by her five sons - William Cavanaugh III (Cindy), Michael Cavanaugh (Beverly), Timothy Cavanaugh (Joann), Erik Cavanaugh (Nora), Todd Cavanaugh (Erin); daughter Shelley Degges (Edward); her sister Lucy Bell and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Linda was a beloved daughter, mother, wife and sister. Linda enjoyed traveling, sewing, cooking, craftwork and spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be announced at a later date.

Memorials or donations may be made in her honor to the American Heart Association or Alzheimer's Association.
