Linda was a distant relative on my husband's side of our family, but more importantly, she was a good friend. She loved seasonal decorating of her lovely home for just about every month. She was creative, kind hearted, loved wolves and dogs , and generous almost to a fault. We had the pleasure of her company at many family gatherings, and we will miss her.

Since the obituary was very short, I'd like to share who this woman was to me and what I remember about her. She was my art teacher at Americus Elementary School in Americus, Ks. I wish I knew how long she was there, but I can tell you I attended that school K-8th grade 88'-93' (I hope my math was right). She was very close with her mother at the time I knew her. She had an amazing collection of teddy bears. I had the pleasure of visiting her home once. She must have had thousands. as a kid in her class, I would always try to sneak bubble gum or butterscotch candy and tell her it was cough drops.
She brought out the creative side in my that already ran in my blood. I hope that she had enjoyment in her life in the years after I knew her.
