I was very saddened to hear about Linda's passing. I enjoyed visiting with her at the Nepean Sportslex Craft Show and when she came into Lewiscraft(where I worked at the time) to purchase paint for her canvas floor mats. She was a very talented lady and she will be missed by all who knew her.

Jim, Kristie, Amy and Michael:
My heart pours out the silent tears of love and compassion for you! My heart is broken You may not know me as Tracy Lynn Cwikla, bu as sillysissy or frozenfingers on tetrisfriends.com. What an amazing friend I made by accident or via our Lord's will. She was my very best friend that I never got the chance to hug! For three years, we chatted, talked via phone, played our favorite game and emailed. She was my sister and we planned to meet one day for a hug and coffee! I always knew what you were having for dinner and when she would be offline to visit the Cabin.
Email me or call. I have many photos, momories and emails to share. What a wonderful woman that God made and why he took her early to Heaven, we shall know someday. Maybe God wanted a perfect angel and Linda was his choice!
Linda, aka puppydoodles, aka knockoutqueen, aka Litle Bones.. sweetie I will miss you with all of my heart, I love you, Lady in Red!

Miss Linda, you are amazing. You were so patient, caring, and giving. You contributed so much to Joan of Arc-yearbook, grade 8 grad, art . . . it's just amazing. People looked up to you and knew that you would always be there for them to teach them to type or draw there first 3D figure. You were always positive an were a problem-solver, you were unique and creative. It's impossible to forget you and everything you did because you did so much. The patience you gave in the lunchroom when everybody kept talking. I miss you so much, and everybody does too. We are thankful that we had such a remarkable teacher like you at Joan of arc. You may not be here in person since your up in heaven but you will remain in our hearts and our memories. We love you! Your contributions to Joan of Arc will never ever be forgotten. May you always rest in peace.
The Curran family is in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Curran Family,
I am very sorry that I was not able to attend Linda's funeral today. I will always carry with me the memory of her coming down the stairs behind Claire shaking her head in disbelief. "In all of my years of teaching nobody has ever sewn through their finger. I knew if would happen one day and I should have known it would be Claire."
Linda will be sadly missed but the influence she has had on the Joan of Arc community will continue for many, many years to come.

Dear Jim and family - I was so sorry to hear of Linda's sudden passing. She and I were "best buds" in Grade 6 at Riverview Public School. Even then, she was very creative and loved animals. Although our lives took us in different directions, I remember her kindness and gentle friendship at a time when other girls could be a bit cruel to us "geeks"! She obviously continued to live a life of great generosity and creativity. Her gifts will live on in her children and all those whose lives she touched. With fond memories and thoughts of you at this difficult time,

Dear Jim,
Gerry Lajeunesse e-mailed me about the lost of your wife, and both Deanna and I sincerely send to you and your children our deepest sympathy. Although I didn’t know Linda, I had great pleasure working with you while being with the National Capital Commission. You were and still are a fine gentleman, always positive, had a great love for nature and the outdoors, and I imagine Linda, you and the family had many wonderful adventures together. She will be missed, but there will always be grand memories of her.

Dear Curran Family:
We were deeply saddened to learn of Linda's untimely passing and express our sincere and heartfelt condolences to all of you.
Linda was well-known to our entire family and especially to our two daughters, Kameela and Raeesa, who were her students at Joan of Arc Academy. We understand well therefore the incredibly positive impact and influence that Linda had on our daughters and on the life of Joan of Arc Academy more generally. Both our daughters looked up to Linda and she played such an important and central role at Joan of Arc Academy that it is very hard to imagine the school without the beloved "Ms. Linda". From her role as the Art and Computer teacher to all the wonderful work that she did in putting together the Year Book, the Graduation Slide Show and summer sewing camps, Linda was truly a unique and remarkable individual. That she touched so many people and had such a positive influence on the lives of so many young girls is something we hope will give you some comfort and strength at this very difficult time.
May her soul rest in peace and may you find solace in the memories of the happy times you shared together.

Dear Curran family, I was shocked and sadden to read of Linda's sudden passing. I did many mats with her at the school and she did four for me that are still on the floors in my home. Mike and family;
It is with shock when I read this sad news.
I worked with Linda at Scotiabank back in the late 70's/early 80's and have never forgotten her. She was such a kind and caring person and never had a bad thing to ever say about anyone.
She was the type of person that everyone should aspire to be.
I held her in such regard.
My deepest sympathy goes out to you and your family.

Jim, Michael, Kristie and Amy - It is with a very sad heart that I send you my condolences. Linda and I were friends for many years and I worked for her at the Ottawa craft fairs for at least the last ten years or more. I looked forward to her calls for 'help' when she needed someone to fill in - we always had fun together whether it was painting/sewing/pottery or just having a cup of coffee. Linda was the most gentle, generous, confident and hard working person I've known and I will really miss her. My heart goes out to all of Linda's family in this time of sorrow.

Linda you gave us so much, as a close friend and more. As a friend I mourn your passing and the realization that when I knock on your door, you will not answer even though I still have not come to grips with that expectation yet. But I celebrate the richness you have given to us all by your friendship shared, your creativity, your intelligence. Most may live twice the time but not accomplish even a half. Thank you Linda for your friendship, the joys, and the richness you brought to my life and I believe I may say for all who have known you. I will always celebrate your friendship but feel the less for your no longer being here to share more times.

My condolences to Linda's family. I have know Linda since the 80's when she participated in the Creative Hands Craft Market and visited with her every year at the Christmas Craft & Gift show at the Nepean Sportsplex. She also was a wonderful volunteer captain & canvasser for many years for the Kidney Foundation when I worked there. Linda always had a big heart and always had time for you. Will miss my annual visit with her to catch up on her news. She will be missed by all she touched in her life.

My daughter Michelle called me from a military base this evening, expressing her sadness about the news of Linda's passing and her regret that she would not be able to attend the funeral. Although it’s been 5 to 7 years since she was Linda's pupil at Joan of Arc, she told me how much positive influence Linda had on her life and how completely supportive Linda was of her artistic efforts. Michelle very much appreciated how Linda treated her like an adult and how she made her classes a truly “fun” experience. Many people were touched by Linda’s special abilities as a teacher. As parents, we are thankful for teachers like her, the ones our children admiringly speak about for years after leaving class. Please accept our sincerest condolences.
