Linda Dobbs Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 11, 2025.
Linda Ann Dobbs (née Luker), age 70, passed away on April 7, 2025, in New Caney, Texas. Born on May 9, 1954, in Freeport, Texas, Linda lived a life rooted in faith, service, and love for her family.

Linda earned an associate's degree from Brazosport College, laying the foundation for a life of thoughtful engagement and quiet strength. Throughout her life, Linda exemplified the values of compassion and humility-qualities that were especially evident in her volunteer work at Friendship United Methodist Church. For Linda, volunteering was more than a task; it was a calling. She believed deeply that service was not about recognition or accolades but about showing up with an open heart and allowing God to work through her in whatever way was needed.

Linda's devotion to family was unwavering. She shared a loving marriage with her husband, Joseph Dobbs, who described Linda not only as his wife but also as his best friend. Their bond was one of deep companionship and mutual respect. Linda also cherished her role as a mother and grandmother. Linda is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Marsha Gibb, and son-in-law John Gibb, as well as by their grandsons Logan and Landon Gibb.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Radford and Myrtle Luker. Her memory lives on through the many lives she touched with kindness and grace.

Linda is missed daily by all who knew her. May her memory bring comfort and peace to those who carry it forward.
