Heartbroken

Maureen McCann

July 20, 2019

Hello again Michael & family
It's Maureen McCann from Belfast Ireland who along with Linda gave me beautiful lifetime memories,so much so I've been searching for you all online to come across this tragic news!!
I'm absolutely heartbroken to read about Linda's death, even though I'm 43 now I've never forgotten you all and the experience you gave me as a child..
Linda was an absolute lady and I often wish I had her energy to get up so early and go running, but I do have her love for healthy food.
I'd love to be able to contact you Michael even though the girls probably don't remember me..
I'll just send my love and best wishes anyway and hopefully our paths will cross some day
Lots of Love Maureen xx

Michael, This is Angie Bogner. I was your Pilates trainer in SF and also worked with Linda a few times. I was in complete awe of her. Ive returned to my running roots and often think of Linda as the ultimate master runner; someone to emulate and admire. Im saddened beyond belief to look her up and discover her passing. My heart and prayers go out to you and your family, as I imagine you still struggle with this tragic loss.

Memories of Linda are of a funny, fierce, and fast woman. Our high school running teams (Tam and Redwood) were friendly rivals and we got to know each others' teams outside of meets. I have always felt the privilege to have run against Linda and her sister, Bonnie. My heartfelt condolences go out to her family.

Linda was a true Gemini. She was compassionate, kind and caring which was her gentle side. Her strong side was passionate, courageous and competitive. Linda always challenged herself to be the best and in doing so she challenged all of us to do the same. Her perseverance and determination could not be matched. She was energetic, bright, and witty. And she was very reflective, generous, and empathetic, too. Her integrity never faltered. She always stood up for what was right. Even though at times she wrestled with impatience, the love for family, friends and athletes gave her immense patience. She lived life fully and enthusiastically. Linda's personality was larger than life. Her laughter, strength and love will always echo in my heart. Linda you have truly been a great lifelong friend. Thank you for all the wonderful adventures and great memories. Rest in peace but know your strength, courage and zeal for life lives on in us. Love you. Miss you. Hail Mary. Maggie Keyes Kraft

Thinking of you, Nat. Your mom was a wonderful runner who I first met when my athlete Sarah Sweeney was running after her in the mid seventies. A wonderful person, and knowing you, a wonderful mother. Take good care.

I will never forget the fond memories of Linda while at the Stock Farm Club in Hamilton, Montana. She was one of the funnest and fastest people to be around. Our runs, talks, and smiles lasted for miles and miles. Our thoughts and prayers our with you all.
