Linda Harker Obituary
Linda R. Harker (née Rubush) passed away on April 24, 2024, in Dallas, TX, at the age of 80. She was born on September 8, 1943, in Columbus, IN. Linda was a beloved nurse, devoted mom, and cherished grandma.
In her free time, Linda most enjoyed spending every day with her 2 grandchildren--Leo (3) and Maxwell (2), indulging in her hobby of gambling, and passionately cheering for IU basketball (no matter how well they were doing). She was known for her lively personality, and always being the life of the party. Linda never met a stranger, and had a great sense of humor. She excelled in various sports throughout her life, particularly tennis, softball, and basketball.
Linda's educational journey included graduating from Edinburgh Community High School and Methodist School of Nursing in 1966. Her dedication to nursing and her roles as a mother and grandmother touched the lives of many.
Linda will be deeply missed by her surviving family members: Lauren Harker Reid (Bradley), Sondra (Rubush) Antonevich, and Kevin Rubush. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband R. Jeffrey Harker, and son Ryan Harker, as well as her parents Francis and Ferneda Rubush.
May Linda be remembered for her vivacious spirit, laughter, and love for her family.

Deepest condolences Lauren. Many years ago Linda and I decided we were not going to wear a "gown" to a hospital fund-raiser. We drove to Chicago and purchased women's tuxedos from Brooks Brothers. We had some other entertaining times with Ron. Lori Olivier, Indianapolis

Deepest condolences to Linda´s family. I took a 3 week road trip to California with Linda and Andi (Strasser) Hayes in the early 1970´s. So many laughs!!! Wonderful memories. Linda was one awesome nurse. I will always smile when I think of her. Susan Rasmussen, Indiana
