Linda Lyon Hogue, born in Warren, Arkansas on August 5, 1936, to the late Glynn and Mary Lee Lyon, died November 25, 2023, in Conway.
Linda graduated from Warren Township High School, then received her Bachelor’s degree from Baylor University in 1958.
She was an active member of Pulaski Heights Baptist Church for over 50 years, where she eventually served as a Deacon in the church. She was a teacher for over 30 years at Miss Selma’s Elementary School and was also a member of the school board of Little Rock Catholic High School for over 10 years. Along with her other accomplishments she was on the board of Partners Against Trafficking Humans (PATH).
She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years, Dr. Charles Olin Hogue, and her parents.
Linda is survived by her children Glenn Hogue (Ginny), Greg Hogue (Angie), Gary Hogue (Cissie); her eight grandchildren, who loved their Granna very much, Lauren Gonzalez (Ivan), Jackson Hogue (Bethany), Rob Hogue (Claire), Shelby Hogue, Will Hogue, Hailey Hogue, Hannah Hogue, and Harper Hogue; four great-grandchildren, Camila and Judah Gonzalez, Nash and Beckett Hogue; her sister, Emily Moseley; nephews, Baker and Joe Moseley; and niece, Susanne Moseley Hines.
The family wishes that memorials be made to Pulaski Heights Baptist Church www.PHBCLR.com, PATH www.pathsaves.org, or Alzheimer’s Arkansas www.alzark.org.
Visitation will be held 5:00-7:00 pm Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at Smith Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct, Little Rock, AR 72205. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, November 29, at Pulaski Heights Baptist Church, 2200 Kavanaugh Blvd, Little Rock, AR 72205. Burial will follow at 3:00 pm at Oakland Cemetery in Warren, AR.
