Linda leaving this world is like a big tree falling, leaving a surprising hole in the sky. She will be missed, and I am sure the best of her lives on in Ali, Zac, Buf, and her grandchildren. Sending deepest love to you all.

My wife and myself always followed Linda and Phil n´ the Blanks when they were playing here in the Burlington area. She had the best voice and we always thought she could have been professional if she had been inclined to do that. She was such a pleasant person and will be missed by many fans up here! Love you Linda. RIP.

Linda was one of the first people I had the pleasure of befriending in The Mad River Valley when I worked as a waitress at DW Pearls dinner decades ago. It was at the dinner that we first met. So many memories centered around that dinner, owned and operated by her beloved neighbors on Prickly Mountain.

Linda and I shared many stories and experiences of making our way through the harsh winters, horrid mud seasons and beautiful summers and falls of central Vermont, but we bonded over the fact we were both Vermont transplants from ocean towns and longed to return to the shores of the Atlantic Ocean...some day. After decades of talking about it, she beat me by a few years. I was so proud of her brave leap of faith, despite the losses that accompanied the journey.

Linda loved her family! Her children, certainly, but her parents and sisters were her inspiration for many of her accomplishments. Not long before she sold her Prickly Mountain home, I lost my only child. Linda had known him from our dinner years, and her loving compassion was something that I cherished. After her move, she made a point of keeping in touch, sometimes just to discuss our love of our beloved animals, or to share memories of my son Jasen.

The love, the talent, the kindness and authenticity that Linda embodied will be missed. She will always remain in my heart.

See ya on the other side you beautiful soul!
