Linda Lee LaGamba

Linda Lee LaGamba, a devoted teacher, passionate community advocate, and loving family member, passed away peacefully on October 17, 2024, at the age of 75 in Bluffton, South Carolina. Linda's life was defined by her commitment to others-whether as an educator, a volunteer, or a cherished member of her family.

Linda grew up with a deep appreciation for the value of education, which became the cornerstone of her professional life. As a retired teacher from Perry, Ohio, Linda was known for her genuine care for her students and her dedication to fostering their growth, both academically and personally. Through her teaching, she touched the lives of countless students, many of whom carried forward the lessons she imparted.

After retiring from her career in education, Linda continued to live a life of service to others. She became deeply involved in numerous charitable endeavors, particularly those focused on scholarships, veterans' organizations, and cancer research. Linda's passion for giving back was unwavering. Linda is survived by her loving husband, James J. LaGamba Sr., a son John Dembowski, step-children James J. LaGamba Jr. and Mary LaGamba, two step-grandchildren, and one step great-grandchild.

Linda's unwavering commitment to her family, students, and community leaves a lasting legacy. She will be remembered not only for the many lives she touched but also for the generous and giving spirit that defined her every action. Her legacy is one of love, service, and a genuine desire to help others.

A memorial service to honor Linda's life will be held on December 3, 2024, at 12:00 pm at the Beaufort National Cemetery in Beaufort, SC. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Chapter 12 DAV Scholarship Fund , Beaufort, SC.
