Linda LeValley Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Nov. 28, 2023.
Linda Lee LeValley passed away peacefully on November 17, 2023 succumbing to an aggressive breast cancer. She was born August 12, 1945 in Nashville, Tenn and raised in Louisville, KY. At an early age her father was killed while supervising the newspaper loading dock. Her mother, "Mommy Lil" Shields worked as head cook for the school during the day and moonlighted as a seamstress making dresses and uniforms at night to support Linda's aunt's family and grandmother. She was shielded from chaos and raised as a princess wearing custom tailored dresses for every occasion and taking lessons on her very own grand piano. She later used her talent as a church organist and pianist. She married her childhood sweetheart and learned life in the military. Had her daughter and son while living in military installations stateside and abroad. While living on post, she became a dental assistant and later a nurse in the OR. As a single mom she also had to moonlight as a legal secretary to support her two children. She left nursing to work with her husband, Bruce R. LeValley, as he founded and they grew Texas Commercial Property Advisors managing commercial real estate. She started Texas Property Advisors as a residential real estate division and they managed them until they retired. At the death of Mommy Lil, Linda learned that Mommy Lil was actually her grandmother and had traveled to Nashville and intervened in Linda being aborted, so many years before. This affirmed Linda's firm belief, "if I had not been born to a single mom in 1945, neither would what I gave birth to." Linda lost Bruce to 'agent orange' and later fell in love with John Sharpe. They traveled, RV'd and loved their time together until the end. To quote Linda "Some people never find the True Loves of their life. God gave me two!" Linda had made many great friends over her years. The Matriarch of her family. She is survived by John Sharpe, her sisters Betty Drew and Bobbie Gilbert, her children Wendy Tise, James LeValley and Richard Wildermuth. Adored her 7 grand children and 7 great grandchildren. Linda held on so she could visit with her youngest born before she returned to our Father in Paradise.

I lost touch with her and had a dream that I needed to call her and then I found out that she had died in 2023. Some of the family reach out to me please [email protected]. She was my step-sister.
