Linda Spencer Lynch

This is tough after just losing my mom a month before I heard word of Linda’s passing. I am so glad I came to visit Linda when I came back to NY after being in WVA for ten years in 2017 (Shannon). And even though I am back in WVA now, yet again, after the 3 1/2,I spent back in NY, Linda will never be forgotten. Linda and Debbie, Herman and Shane,Scott, & Shannon, were all a big part of my growing up as a teenager with my ex husband Leon in our teenage years as well as young Adult when we had Alexa and Natalia. Linda & Debbie were there when I had my oldest, Alexa, and I will never forget that. One thing I always noticed about Linda is she loved her family so much, and even the last time I visited her at the nursing home where she passed she was talking so proudly about each of you individually smiling as she always did and she showed me the bunny’s rabbits and the fish. She loved animals and had many dogs back in the day and cats. Linda was like the mother of all mothers she loved kids, and was so proud of her grandkids. And she had a sense of humor that you couldn’t forget. I know that Linda is happy in heaven with Herman now and that they both are watching over you;Debbie,Shane,Scott,and Shannon and the grandkids wherever you go. Keep strong (as I know you all will) and know they are both with you always! They will be with you through the sunrises and sunsets and all lives a accomplishments and trials right by your side just like they were in life,so proud of the family they loved. I can’t believe so much time has gone by and so much has happened over the years, but I wish you all the best. I love you all!!! (My old family) We had good times in the past! Xoxo.

I have the fondest memories of Linda. All the fun times and laughs at Uncle Bob's & Aunt Betty's and at Hazel's on holidays will remain close to my heart. She had the greatest sense of humor, always had a kind word, and was a joy to all. Rest in peace, Linda.

I remember Linda from IHS and last saw her at our 50th reunion in 2001. She worked for my mother, Mrs. Fowler, in the Guidance Department and that was probably where I first knew her well. She was a great gal with a wonderful smile. I always visit Calvary Cemetery when I travel to Ithaca and will plan to visit soon.

I grew up on Center Street, next door to the Spencer family. So many memories from the 50’s and early 60’s. To the family, my sincere condolences. I have a large number of photos of Linda, some of Patricia and a few of a very young Robert that I would make available to the family. Please let me know where to send them. It would be my pleasure. You will be missed Aunt Linda. You were always there for me when I needed a friend and confidant. The most amazing thing about you was your heart. I remember a Christmas one year when I was very young and Grandpa Spencer gave me a porcelain doll, as I was leaving your house that night I dropped it by accident and was devastated because it broke into a lot of small pieces. I will never forget what you did for me that night, you stayed up all night gluing it back together so I could take it home with me the next day when we went back to Lancaster. You were an amazing woman and I'm proud to call you my Aunt. A part of you will always live on in our hearts. Trinity is lucky to share a part of your name. We Love you always!!!

Linda was a great woman. I called her momma. I will miss her very much. God bless her and the whole family.

Today I as I drove thru Calvary Cemetery I passed by the Lynch stone where saw Linda’s picture and wondered about her; shocked to see as I arrived back home that she had passed. Linda was a good and close friend when we were in High school, Rainbow Girls and beyond for many years. She introduced me to, who would be, my husband and love of my life, Tom Yengo. We had lost contact over the years but often thought of her. Rest In Peace my friend. Give Tom a hug for me.
