Linda McCartney Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from May 26 to May 27, 2021.
Linda A. McCartney, 71, passed away suddenly on May 21, 2021. She was born March 1, 1950 in New Orleans, LA to Leonard L. Porter and Maureen F. Porter who preceded her in death. Linda was a long-time resident of Santa Rosa County, FL where her family relocated to be close to their favorite vacation spot; eventually she and her husband settled in Milton, FL where she has resided for the past 35 years. She enjoyed crafting of all types and especially creating for friends and family. Her family was her motivation and she always had a family story to share. She never met a stranger as she had a knack for making you feel like she had known you forever regardless that it may have been your first interaction. Linda is survived by her husband of 40 years, Ray McCartney; three children, Nicole (Joel) Ard, Travis Lasiter and Seon Byrd; her sister, Gail (Michael) D'Angelo; brothers, Wayne (Pamela) Porter and Glen Porter. She was a proud grandmother to two grandsons, Destin Ard and Kaleb (Samantha) Ard; great-granddaughter, Karina Ard. Visitation will be held at Trahan Family Funeral Home, 6539 Trammel Dr., Milton, on Thursday, May 27 at 2 pm with services directly following at 4 pm.
