Linda Chaplinksy McMillan

Linda was a good friend and an inspiration to all who followed her accomplishments. She made the world of mountaineering more inclusive and protective of nature. She is missed.

Linda´s tireless volunteerism and accomplishments were an inspiration to me and many others to try to make a difference for the mountains and those who love them. It was a privilege to know her.

Linda made the world a better place. She was brilliant, compassionate, and unforgettable. I feel blessed that I was able to know her, talk with her, and learn from her.

Linda was always such an extra wonderful breath of fresh air at Alpine Club gatherings. The spirit of the mountains blew in her hair and flowed in her veins; care for our community and its future always seemed to make perfect sense in her plans and words. We'll be treasuring memories and missing the joy she was always so generous to share.

Linda was a true pioneer and environmentalist who never ceased to try and make the mountains a more beautiful and accessible place for us all. An exemplary human being, climbing partner and true friend I will always remember her for what she stood for. An unwavering spirit of true environmentalism and and love for the mountains.
