Linda Palumbo Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Jan. 9 to Jan. 10, 2023.
Beloved Linda Palumbo, 45, of Sewell NJ, passed away unexpectedly on January 3, 2023.

Linda was born in 1977 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to parents of Ken and Nancy Palumbo. Linda graduated from St. Maria Goretti in 1994 and continued her education earning a degree in nursing from Penn State University in 2017. She spent many years working for Children's Hospital and Jefferson Hospital then furthered her role to traveling nurse across the country.

Linda is survived by her son, Frank Palumbo, parents Ken and Nancy Palumbo, her sister Nancy Palumbo, her brother Ken Palumbo (Rachel), and her sister Lori Mastrando (Anthony). Her memory lives on with nieces and nephews: Amber, Joey (Jill), Honey, Madison, Amelia, Alex, Dina, Emily, Caelah, Jovani, Aria, Joey Jr., and Greyson, as well as extended family and friends.

Linda loved spending time with her son Frank on all the adventures they had. She traveled with Frank during his years of soccer and was the ever-devoted soccer mom. She shared time with her family laughing and living. She lit up any room and always made you feel special and connected. Linda was a natural with her patients and had a way of putting them at ease. She was the sweetest soul and loved with every ounce of her being. She will be sadly missed but will always be in our hearts.

Memorial services will be held at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church (2319 South 3rd Street Philadelphia, PA 19148-4019). The mass will be held on Saturday, January 14 at 12:30 PM.

My deepest condolences to Linda´s family and friends. I had the pleasure of Linda´s friendship. We worked at Chop together for several years, our children grew up on the soccer fields. She was the most dedicated single mother and the most caring person I knew. Her passion to help others showed through her determination to acheive her goal to become a nurse. And oh, what an amazing nurse she was! I will miss you so much. I wish we had could have spent more time together. I will cherish all our memories. Rest in peace Lin, until we meet again.

I will never understand how this happened or why, but I will find peace in knowing that you are in Heaven shining down on us all as you did here on earth. You were my first true friend and someone whom I loved dearly. We shared so many great times together and seeing your face is always something I will hold dear in my heart. Until we see each other again in Heaven cousin, I will keep you in my heart and remember that infectious laugh. I love you

While I did not have the pleasure of knowing Linda, I am friend to her son Frank who adored his mother. I also know that nursing is a challenging and sometimes selfless calling. Linda was obviously a devoted, loving mother and a dedicated healthcare professional. She left this world too soon. Deepest Condolences to Frank and his family.

Her laugh was contagious! Her smile so bright. Linda was the type of person that you didn´t have to see or speak to everyday and yet you just pick right up where you left off as if no time passed. Easygoing and a true nurse. She fought for what was just during the pandemic and risked her own health for the care of others. Linda treated her patients like her family. Gentle and with care. Our world became dimmer. May you rest eternally. My dad is waiting for you with open arms. I love you cuz. Always.
