Linda ROOS Obituary
Mrs. Linda Roos peacefully after a lengthy battle with cancer, passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at the Brockville General Hospital – Garden Street Site at the age of 65 years. Loving companion of William 'Bill' Montgomery of Brockville, ON. She will be sadly missed by her daughters Jennifer Corbin (Clifford Ells), Penny MacMillan both of Embrun, ON, and by her stepchildren Jane (Conrad), John (Angelica) and Jennifer Roos (Erik). Proud grandmother of Ivy LeBrun, Kyle LeBrun, and Hailey Corbin. Survived by her nephew Larry Thibault (Liz) and niece JoAnne Black (late Brian) and by her long time friend Louise Payette-Leduc. Predeceased by her former husband George Roos. Predeceased by her parents Arthur and Eva (Bray) Thibault. Also predeceased by her brother Lester Thibault (late Joyce) and sister Barbara Dupont (Jean-Pierre). In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Wilson Funeral Home – Boulerice Location, 218 Montreal Road, Cornwall, ON, Friday from 7-9 p.m. and on Saturday from 9:00 until the time of the service. The Liturgy of the Word will be held in the Chapel of Wilson Funeral Home – Boulerice Location on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Burial at a later date in St. Lawrence Valley Cemetery. If so desired, contributions in Linda's memory to the Ottawa Hospital Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family. The family would like to thank Dr. Scott Laurie and the staff at Ottawa Cancer Clinic and the Brockville Palliative team. Online messages of condolence may be made in the obituary section of:

Linda was such a loving and kind woman. I had the chance to work with her at DND for a few years. I made holiday decorations for her. She had such a zest for life! Family was what held her together! She was a fighter! I am so glad to have known and worked with her.

Sincere condolences to Jennifer, Penny and families. Linda was a personal long time friend at work and at the cottage at Long Lake, Quebec. I was pleased to have introduced her to her late husband George Roos. They were such a loving couple. May the family cherish their memories of her as I will. God Bless!

It was so sad to hear of Linda's passing but I know how much she suffered over the years.
Linda was one of the finest people I have ever known and a joy to be around. She was such a giving and caring person. Cindy and I have such good memories of the happy times at Long Lake with her and George.

Was saddened to hear of Linda's passing. I was one of the Compensation Managers for DND and Linda provided exceptional advice and guidance to us on a daily basis. Not only was she terrific at her job, she was a lovely lady who made our meetings and other gatherings enjoyable with her sense of humour and her upbeat attitude. We all missed her terribly when she left work. Deepest sympathy to her family.
