Ms. Linda Lou Spencer Brittain Thomas

Linda Lou Spencer Brittain Thomas, 66, of Hickory, departed this life to her heavenly home on Wednesday June 22, 2022 at Carolina Caring following a period of declining health. Mrs. Thomas was born on July 14, 1955 in Marion County, IN to the late Fred Spencer and Dorothy Moore Spencer. She was retired from Marlow Furniture. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her sisters, Connie Morgan and Bonnie Williams and her niece, Tallah Spencer. Survivors include her daughter, Stephanie Higdon and husband Tim of Hickory; grandchildren, Hannah Shoupe and husband Leyton of Spring Lake, NC; Chase Higdon and wife Meagan of Connelly Springs; and Timothy Higdon and wife Erica of Maiden; three great-grandchildren, Hayley Shoupe, TJ Higdon and Harper Higdon; her siblings, Martha Martin of Hildebran, Robin Parker of Connelly Springs, Jerry Spencer of Connelly Springs and Randy Spencer of Hickory; also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday June 26, 2022 in the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Service in Valdese, with Rev. Lin Hamrick officiating.
