Linn was a true friend and supportive of us US Army officers stationed at Brooklyn Army Terminal in 1965, defending the Port of New York. We took our work and responsibilities seriously, but we sure had fun doing it.
We hung together all these years, including get-togethers for Sunday brunches, and a visit to our old stomping grounds at BART [Brooklyn Army Terminal] and Fort Hamilton.
Failing a "call to Arms" of our merry band, I had lunch anyway with Linn and Wes White a couple of years ago. Nice. He wasn't ill then. As a musician, I was pleased to learn at that lunch that Linn played guitar...another musician friend.
I miss, and will miss, my friend and Army buddy.
I send my condolences to Linn's loved ones.
