Linnea A. Ledin, 84, of Superior joined her deceased husband Oliver on his birthday, Feb. 25, 2004. She died unexpectedly while wintering in Arizona with her family. She was a life long resident of Superior, born on April 4,1919. She graduated from East High School in 1937 and from the University of WI.-Superior. She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Superior and the Barnes Community Church. She belonged to the Wis. Assoc. for Home and Continuing Education for 52 years. She was an avid square dancer and enjoyed doing crafts, quilting, and weaving. She loved to travel, spending summers at her lake home and winters in Arizona with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Oliver, her parents Minnie (Lindquist) and August Swanson, a daughter Judy Coppens, a brother Leslie and sister Harriette Swanson, and most recently on Jan. 18 her son-in-law Dean Hyland Surviving are three sons; Richard (Pam) of Plymouth Minn., Tom (Cindy) of Superior, and David (Marilyn) of Gilbert Ariz; a daughter Karen (Dean Hyland) Ledin of Anthem Ariz., a sister Edith (George) Jackson of River Falls Wis., a niece Aileen (John) Tucker of Superior, a nephew Leslie Jr. of Dellwood Minn., a special friend Liz Woods, and 11 grandchildren. VISITATION:5-7 p.m. on Monday, March 1 at Bethel. The funeral, arranged by Downs Funeral Home, will be at Bethel Lutheran Church on Tuesday March 2 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Gary Garnatz officiating. Pallbearers will be the grandchildren Mathew, Nicholas, Katie, Elizabeth, Katherine, Christina, Brian, and Amy Ledin, and Andrea, Michelle, and Laura Coppens.
