EAST LONGMEADOW - Linnea Anna Phillips, 90, died peacefully in the home of her son, Allan on Monday March 15, 2004. She was predeceased by her loving husband A. Scott Phillips in 1995. Born in Springfield, she lived her whole life in East Longmeadow and was a life-long member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, as well as being a member of the Order of Vasa, the East Longmeadow Grange, and the Pomona Grange. Linnea also enjoyed gardening, and she loved dolls, belonging to the East Longmeadow Doll Club. Linnea is survived by her two sons Allan S. Phillips and his wife Kelly of East Longmeadow, and Wayne S. Phillips and his wife Patricia of San Jose CA; her daughter Jean P. Nelson and her husband Douglas of Keene NH; her brother Robert Falk of East Longmeadow; and her sister Virginia Craig of Long Beach CA. Besides her husband Scott, she was predeceased by her three brothers Nils E. Falk, Edwin Falk, and Kenneth Falk. Linnea will also be missed by her six grandchildren Sharon, Julie, Scott, Wayne-Scott, and especially Sarah, and Kristin, with whom she lived, and who both gave extra love and care to their grandma during the last few weeks of her life. She also leaves her six great-grandchildren Brett, Duncan, Gunnar, Lindsay, Jackson, and Ranger, as well as several nieces and nephews. Friends and family will meet for the Funeral Service on Friday at 11am at St. Paul Lutheran Church, East Longmeadow followed by burial in Billings Hill Cemetery. Calling hours will be Thursday 4-7 pm at Hafey East Longmeadow Chapels, 120 Shaker Rd.
