My deepest sympathies go to the family and friends. Losing a loved one in death is painful. Everyone is grieving and at this time comfort is needed. 1 Peter chapter 5 verse 7 God tells you to "throw all your anxiety on him." Why? "Because he cares for you." Pray to God about your feelings and when your emotions overwhelm you. Although it will take time to heal God can give you the strength to cope through this difficult time.

To the Aucoin Family,
I was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of "Okie." I worked with him at Monsanto for quite some time on Shift Maintenance. He was a great mentor and always willing to give a lending hand. We had a lot of fun together, which made working with him that much more enjoyable. He was a great man, and this is a big loss for the community. My prayers and thoughts are with you during this difficult time.
Sincerely,
Carol "Gumbo" Gravois

Mr. Lionel was a very kind and sweet person. He will be greatly missed. I remember him from the library. We would always bring scratch off lottery tickets and candy once a week to our branch in Hahnville. My grandchildren have the wooden banks that he made them when they were born. My prayers and deepest sympathy for his family.

I have so many fond memories of Mr. Lionel, both from working with him at the library and from church. I think of him each Christmas when I put out the beautiful wooden Christmas decorations he would make for library Christmas parties and I was lucky enough to win as a door prize. I think of him when I see lottery tickets - which he gave staff faithfully for Christmas. And I think of him whenever I see Dove chocolates. So many years after his retirement from the library, I still think of him often. My sincerest condolences to his lovely family.

Miss Veronica and Family......I am deeply saddened to hear about "Okies" passing. I will never forget the way Okie trained me when I worked with him in the E & I dept at Monsanto. I have never heard him say anything disrespectful to anyone. He had an infectious smile that would make anyone who met him be his friend. He was loyal to Monsanto for his years of service. I am so sad that I won't be able to attend His Visitation and Funeral Services. I will be out of town. My wonderful memories of Okie will forever be etched in my heart.
REST IN PEACE MY FRIEND
