My Dad was a great man. His devotion to my Mom and Patricia, Mike and I were without parallel. I have so many fond memories that it would be hard to list them all but I give it a shot anyway....when we were young Dad would take us for a ride in his “prized” VW bug to give Mom a well deserved break from the kids. It never mattere where we went. It was just fun being with him.
My dad also loved his “Puch” moped. He would use that thing year round in NH....crazy...but that was Dad.
He walked the Boston Marathon after he saw how much fun Mike and I had back in 1983. He just enjoyed doing it and then talking about it.
When Martha and I eventually would get married, move away and have our 3 boys Mary and Len would come visit. We had a lot of laughs and they loved the boys so much. Martha and I would go out based on Mon and Dad’s direction to enjoy some alone time. When we would come back it was like we walked into a brand new house. Dad and Mom would “detail” our house...they were amazing.
I could go on and on and on. I can’t think of any but good things about Dad. I’ve read all the kind things that everyone has said and as his son and having a front row seat to the kindness and caring of Dad I could agree more with what everyone has said.
Dad always wanted to have a 100th birthday party and I am looking forward too it!
I love you Dad!

Len was such a fine and happy man. It was a privilege to have been his daughter-in-law for 26 years! So many precious memories of so many wonderful moments. Len loved his wife and family and always put them first! I am reminded of his love for Canada and how many winters his grandchildren enjoyed a homemade igloo in the backyard when they were young. When you met him, it was obvious to all, Mary was the love of his life. He will truly be missed. I look forward to Gods promise of a reunion, some sweet day. My prayers to the Gallants during this sad time of loss and know that God promises to be near to the broken hearted.

Mary and family, Marti and I were sad to hear of Lenny's passing. I worked many years with Len at the Union Leader and enjoyed him as a co-worker and friend. He always had a great personality and good sense of humor which can be a plus in deadline working conditions at the newspaper. Again, he will surely be missed by many friends.

My grandfather was and is an incredible role model of how far kindness can go and always have the most easygoing attitude. I know he’ll be handicapping horses for the Derby up in heaven next month! Love you, Grandpa.

Len is one of the kindest men I have ever had the pleasure of knowing and I am so blessed to have had him for a father-in-law. His love for his family was paramount, especially his wife, Mary, of 64 years. Whenever we'd visit he'd be waiting at the door with open arms and a big grin on his face, ready to hear all about what was going on in our lives. He always was so genuinely interested in what was going on in all family members' lives and took the time to really listen to what everybody had to say. He was so selfless, always focusing on other people no matter what he was going through himself. We have so many happy memories of times spent with Len and Mary and I'm so thankful for that. I will miss Len dearly, including his texts which Ed and I received a few times a week with funny quirky comments about pictures Ed would send. I thank Len for being such a good role model for my husband, Ed, and our sons also. Len was truly a ray of sunshine in our lives and memories will live on forever in our hearts. I will miss him....

So sorry to hear about Len's passing - my thoughts and prayers are with Mary, all of the Gallants and their extended families. Len was one of a kind. He was a genuinely kind and thoughtful person and a gentleman in the true sense of the word. His focus was always on others and wanting to know what was happening in their lives. I have fond memories of sharing a beer with him over the years at family events. He has left a great imprint on me and will be missed. Our loss is heaven's gain.
