Lionel was a very happy go lucky type of person. Was always laughing and smiling. I was a tenet of lionel and Marie for ten and a half years. They are the best landlords a person could ever want. I will always remember his sence of humor and the laughter that we shared together. May you rest in peace. My most sincere condolences to his loving wife Marie and to his children.

Lionel, your musical ability can get you first chair with the Big Boys now. Duke Ellington, Count Basie, James, Dorsey, Goodman, Hampton. The list is endless and so will be your talents as great musician and friend. A great guy to know and you'll be missed by all who knew you. Pleasant journey and keep hitting those high notes. I'd like to extend my heartfelt condolences to the Guidi family at the loss of Lionel. I had the good fortune to meet Lionel in 1973 after becoming acquainted with Dale in school. Lionel (Marie) welcomed many of us into their home. Lionel was truly skilled at being a sincere, caring man. He would stop and take time to ask how one was, always enquiring about your family and genuinely interested in your answer. I think todays Social Medias' intent is to be like how Lionel wasconnected, upbeat and positive. Thanks for the great memories Lionel. Godspeed my friend.

Mr. Guidi was my baseball coach in about 1970. The Giants were, for certain, the worst team ever assembled. So bad I am embarrassed to remember that season. But, Mr. Guidi did not yell. He did not get angry. He only encouraged us. Tried to teach us. Was so nice and such a kind man. And he did not have to spend his spare time with us kids- he chose to because he was indeed a very giving, kind man. I am sorry for your loss and I will raise a glass for him today. My sympathy.

Rest in Peace Dad. You can wet your line in Bearspaw all you want now. I will miss your phone calls and visits asking how the Boys were doing. Cheering on the Flames, Stamps or Blue Jays watching TV in your recliner.
Love Kathleen
Dad loved to play music to bring joy.

Rest in Peace Dad.
I will miss your telephone calls and asking about how we are doing. You can wet your line all you want now. I hope the Ford Fender or the black silver flat fish help you land the big one. Luv Kath

Lionel, playing trumpet or trombone with various bands over the years had a proven sense of humour. He had a compassionate side too, remembering to communicate with friends and fellow musicians suffering illnesses and post surgeries. He will be missed by all who knew him
