Will always remember my "brother" who was there for me when I was badly hurt and no family around. He was and is a wonderful person and will always be fondly remembered.

Lionel was a great father-in-law,and one of the kindest and wisest men I have ever met. I still learn from some of the things he told me and advice he gave me years ago. I will miss him greatly.

Lionel and I were schoolmates at Kuna High and later were together in the Army at Fort Ord California where he reported with a cast on his leg for basic training. At that time he wanted to get out of the army but, instead stayed arround for 20 years and retirement. We kept in touch for several years after he retired but, as things go lost track the last few years, My condolences go out to his family and friends. He was a great guy and will surely be missed.

Lionel was more than my Step-father he was my DAD, I remember when he first married my mom, we use to call him "Sgt, Lionel". I will miss him sooooo very much. But I take comfort knowing that he is finally back with my mom, Mona Lowe. I will always be greatful that he was with Tanna and Rick and Mitize and Rick and Steve, his children that he always loved and missed when he wasn't with them and his many grandchildren and great grandchildren. I love and miss you so much. And I am very greatful that you are no longer hurting, but at peace. Your step-Daughter Gwen Stroud and Ken and 4 step-grandchildren and 10 step-great grandchildren in El Paso, Texas. "THERE WAS ALWAYS LOVE IN DADDY'S HANDS."

Lionel was one of the finest men I've ever known. A great ex Father-in-Law. I wish I'd listened to him more than I did. Thanks for the great memories.

It has been many years since I have seen Lionel, however I remember him playing football and the time he lost his swiming suit water skying off a dock at Glens Ferry. My deeps sympathy to the family.

Our sympathy and condolences go to the family for their loss. We were neighbors to Lionel in the early '80s in Kuna and our son Lee farmed with him.
