Lisa Dye Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jan. 21, 2021.
Lisa Marie Dye, age 55 of Waldorf, Maryland, passed away January 19, 2021 at her home. Lisa was born February 3, 1965 in Cheverly, Maryland to the late Mary C. Hubbard of Charlotte Hall, Maryland and the late Johnnie W. Hubbard of Person County, North Carolina.

On September 16, 2005, she married her husband, Robert R. Dye (Rusty) and was the proud mother of her son, Travis A. Dye. Lisa also had two step-daughters, Christine M. Craig and Melissa A. Howell, and step-grandchildren, Sarah M. Craig, Noah M. Craig, Kylee H. Dye, and Caleb A. Howell. She was proudly expecting her first grandchild this coming July.

Lisa worked in the banking industry for over 25 years and currently held a position with NRL Federal Credit Union in Waldorf, Maryland. Lisa was known best for her eagerness to help her customers and greet them with a friendly smile. She was passionate about numbers and had a great sense for saving for the future.

Lisa was the heart of her family and was always willing to lend a listening ear, advice, or just a hug. She had a way of making any situation seem better. Lisa greatly valued time with her loved ones and made many wonderful memories with her family on summer vacations in Myrtle Beach. Lisa brought laughter, love, and friendship to all who she knew. She loved old country music and adored Conway Twitty the most.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Velma J. Burroughs; brother-in-law, Robert L. Burroughs; and niece, Nicole L. Burroughs.

In addition to her husband, Rusty, son, Travis, and step-daughters and step-grandchildren, Lisa is survived by her sister, Wanda S. Pasternak; nieces, Kimberly L. Foster-Wilson, Christina M. McGann; nephew, Jeremy L. Pasternak; and her two great-nephews, Collin J. Foster and Ashton T. Foster; and many other nieces and nephews from her husband's side.
