I was sad to read of Lisa's death in our high school alumni bulletin. She had a brilliant mind and a great sense of humor. I did not know her well, but I admired her. I know she will be long remembered.

Lisa was my first boss at EPA, and her nurturing tendencies helped me through the government shutdown of 1996 and to continuing a 30-year career throughout many opportunities for advancement at EPA. I remember in particular her enthusiasm for a plan I presented to her that would allow OGC staff to use the backside of paper that had already been printed on for draft documents. Lisa´s joy in finding a process to fully use paper was palpable. May she rest in peace.

Beautiful tribute. Lisa was an extraordinary person. OGC´s glue. The very best of the best.

Thank you all so much for this beautiful tribute!
Cousin Lisa, thank you for being such an integral part of our family! Technically second cousins, but in my heart you are my Aunt. Your thoughtfulness over the years is unmatched and I will forever cherish your recipes and all the items you sewed for my kids, husband and myself. I will miss walking with you to Berkeley Bowl as we stock up on last minute groceries before Turkey Day at Doug and Laura's. I smile (and cry) thinking of all your delicious hand made pies and our fierce and animated games of Pictionary. We miss you so! Photo credit goes to my brother Tyson Gillard, taken of Lisa in 2009, at my wedding in Cooper Landing, Alaska.

Lisa was an unflappable leader in EPA's Office of General Counsel, extremely generous with her time, quick to mentor young lawyers, leaving an indelible mark on lawyers who benefitted from her wisdom and skills, as well as on EPA and the important work it conducted. Always modest to a fault as she smoothed the path for her colleagues. An amazing role model for generations of OGC lawyers. She will be missed.

This is a beautiful tribute to Lisa. Thank you. In our book club she made key rings, cord ties, and coin bags that I still use to this day. A useful and beautiful reminder of her.
