Not sure what to say?

I knew Lisa through the ASO Chorus and Chamber Chorus. We learned music together, took turns breathing in long phrases, and kibbitzed during slow rehearsals. Lisa loved music and her family -- I heard a lot about Dennis and Emily (all good!) through the years. We sang a choral work at a church in Atlanta about ten years ago, in which Lisa had been invited to sing the solo part. She said several times how worried she was about it, but when the time came, she sang it beautifully. To me, this is what Lisa was like: determined to do a good job, and way more talented than she gave herself credit for being. God bless you, Lisa. I'm glad to have known you.

I remember the first time I ever heard Lisa sing. We were having choir practice on a Wednesday night and we were rehearsing what we were going to sing Sunday. The choir members were sitting in the choir loft taking the opportunity to talk to each other between songs. Lisa was supposed to sing a song on Sunday morning so she began to rehearse His Eye Is on the Sparrow. When she began to sing a hush fell on the choir. Everyone was looking at each other saying, " who is she? What an Angelic voice!" We were all in complete rapture. So after getting to know her a little I said to her, I wish you would train me to sing. And by God's good grace she agreed. I can't wait to hear her sing again in heaven.

Lisa will be greatly missed. I thank God for her commitment to the co-op in which many families were able to have access to healthy food choices. I always looked forward to getting together with this group. My thoughts and prayers continue to be with her family.

I have had to wonderful blessing of singing with Lisa since her first days with ASOC/ASOCC. She was always smiling and so happy to be there with her choral family. She will be missed but not forgotten.

Lisa is gone too soon! Her life was lived in order to bring glory to Christ. Her voice was also raised to bring glory to Christ. Every worship service that we remember being in when she sang, was lifted to a higher level! She had the ability to lift every saint of God closer to the throne of God by her vocals! In that way, she was certainly unmatched. Blessed are the ones who have recorded songs of her at work and praise of God!
God bless Dennis and Emily, and the rest of her family and friends. This is going to take years to deal with.

Lisa was a remarkable lady. Always had a come back that made you laugh. Heaven has truly gained an angel. No one can sing as good as her. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this time.

I sang with Lisa for over a decade. A wonderful lady and a wonderful singer. Even after singing under Robert Shaw and later Norman Mackenzie, she strove to improve. I know, because at one point my lesson immediately followed hers. That showed in her singing and in her dedication to her daughter to be the best she could be. I and many others will remember and miss Lisa.

What a blessing and delight to have known this very strong and godly friend. We loved, talked, laughed, shared heartbreaks, prayed for each other and shared the gospel together for many years. I will always cherish the times she spent individually with our daughters, teaching them Scriptures and holding them accountable. She also had fun with them often and taught them many life skills. I will miss her humor, her sparkly eyes and her chuckle. God has wonderfully blessed this family and He assures us He will continue.
Much love and prayers for you, Dennis and Emily. We will meet again and, oh, what a day that will be!
