Lisa was one of the BEST and most professional and beloved Chief Deputy's the US District Court of Maryland employed! Looking back, she sometimes assigned me tasks that she knew were out of my comfort zone and, yet, when the tasks were completed, I always felt a sense of pride and accomplishment. She was an encouraging manager. I learned a lot from her! She was my mentor in many ways. In my extensive federal career, I can't say that about any other individual that supervised me and whom I so admired. She was also my friend who cared, was generous, and possessed a genuine demeanor. It's hard to believe I won't see her anymore. My deepest sympathies to her family, her most treasured friends and caretakers -Nicki and Hilary, and her many friends across this country.

Upon arrival to the courthouse with Judge Titus in November of 2003, Lisa made me feel welcome and immensely helped me learn how the Greenbelt courthouse operated. She made my transition to the courthouse an easy experience. She will be deeply missed and I extend my sincere condolences to her family.

Lisa will always have a special place in my heart. She broke me in as a new judge and made our courthouse a very special and happy place. I am so glad that I had an hour alone with her two weeks ago to share fond memories. My sincere condolences to her family and many friends.
