Dear Lisa,
it has been 16 years since you were taken from this world and yet it seems like it was yesterday. I never had a chance to attend your funeral but my geief of losing my best friend is a wound that will never heal.
I remeber the day I met you at Babs (foster mom's) you were so full of life hair in pigtails and beautiful smile. You made me feel at home and made the world not seem so big and scary. We were so young then but I saw you as strong always trying to see the positive in every situation. You really taught me a lot and most important you taught me to value every day of my life. You were smart and kind you never deserved what happened to you and it was so unfair...I wished I could have saved you . Now having a beautiful daughter of my own named after you I swear to love and protect her . I wished you could have met her too.
No matter how many years pass you will never be forgotten in my heart. We were close like sisters and that will reamin to be.Remember the yellow rose you gave me and told me it meant forever...I extend the same rose back to you .....I love you forever, Lisa, and cherrish every memory .
