I had the pleasure of working with Lisa on Rahm's first congressional campaign in the early 2000's. She was a joy to work with and I am deeply saddened to hear her passing.

We are still in utter shock by this sudden and unfortunate loss to not just the City of Chicago, but to everyone that has had the honor and pleasure of being in the presence of Lisa.
She was truly and inspirational force and pure example of how we should coexist in a society that consistently tries to separate us. We will forever remember all the moments that we have been blessed enough to share with Lisa throughout the years and will most certainly have her family in our thoughts and prayers.
Her memorial was nothing short of a true testament to all the lives she has impacted and how her spirit will continue to live on through her family, friends, loved ones, and community.
We love you Lisa! and rest peacefully.
Sincerely,
Perry Strong and Abe Bendheim

A beautiful soul gone way too soon. I´m having a difficult time processing the magnitude of this loss. Lisa was such a kind, empathetic force that made this world a better place by being such a fierce advocate for the least among us. She will be desperately missed and I´m blessed to have had her as a friend.
