Beloved daughter and spouse, cherished Momma and “Lala”, treasured sister, aunt, and friend, Lisa Moore Shields, age 58, passed away in Marshall, Texas on Friday, March 3, 2023. Lisa, affectionately known as “LaLa”, was born August 25th, 1964, in Denton, Texas to Gerald Wayne Moore Sr., and Mary Jane Hightower Boaze.
Lisa is preceded in death by her great grandmother “big momma” Ara Mable Briggs, and her grandparents Carol Wayne and Alice Marie Moore “Granny”, Ernest Floyd and Ethel Phillips Hightower, her nephew Landon Wayne Moore, her uncle William Earl Moore “Bubba” and her stepfather, Frances Boaze. She leaves behind her Parents, Gerald and Patricia Moore, and Mary Jane Boaze; her loving spouse, Herman Ed Heim, Jr; Children Casey Shields and wife Madison, Heather Shields, and Chelsea Heim Ratcliff and husband Mike, stepchildren Chad Heim and Wade Heim; grandchildren, Chandler Shields, Ashton Alexander, Cannon Redding, Easton Shields, Harper Ratcliff, and Case Shields. Siblings Leslie Crews Baker and husband Johnny, Gerald Moore II (Chuck), Courtney Jackson and husband Travis, Amanda Moore, Jared Moore, Keely Moore, Step siblings Tim Boaze and wife Lori, Marcie Henigan and husband Tommy, and Michelle Boaze; 23 nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews who loved their Aunt Lisa very much, and many many other beloved “LaLa’s Babies” and cherished friends.
Lisa and Hermie shared 39 years of love and fun together. They loved spending time with their grandchildren and are affectionally known as “LaLa” and “PawPaw”.
Lisa attended River Crossing Cowboy Church and worked for 26 years at Harris Potteries.
Lisa‘s greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren, her animals, and all “LaLa’s babies”. Weekends were filled with the most fun times at Lala’s, for many generations! Her devotion to her children and grandchildren, never wavered, regardless of any situation or obstacle. She was full of life and fire, incredibly driven, clever and intense, rough and loud and outspoken with a heart of gold and an incredible capacity to love.
While her truest loves were her family, that love was closely followed by being in the saddle with her horses (her other children), Nugget and Bo.
When she wasn’t in the saddle, she was on her Jet Ski or in her Corvette, and she only knew one speed, fast!
Those that know her best said that she worked harder than any other person. Lisa could do anything from rebuild your motor to make all the flowers for your wedding and everything in between. There was nothing she couldn’t do, but she would quickly let it be known that her greatest accomplishment was being called Mama and Lala.
Lisa was well loved and will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know her. Mama Lisa, Lala, sister, best friend, and her Daddy’s first love.
A time of visitation will be held Thursday March 9th, 6-8pm at Downs Funeral home. The Funeral Service at Downs will be Friday, March 10th at 1:00pm with Paul “Pete” Sellers officiating. Interment will follow the service at Walnut Springs Cemetery. Serving as Pallbearers are Jared Moore, Chuck Moore, Mike Ratcliff, Travis Jackson, Johnny Baker, Heath Brown, Ashton Alexander and Cannon Redding. Honorary Pallbearers are Danny Vernon, Michael Patterson, Jimmy Humphries, Chance Hasler, Tanner Hasler, and Nathan Hasler.
The family would like to thank everyone for the outpouring of supporting and prayer at this time.

I'm very sorry to read of Lisa's passing, it's been quite a few years since I've seen her...Her father Gerald is one of my distant cousins on his Mother Alice's Briggs side of the family..Lisa's husband Herman Ed Hein, Jr. Is my first cousin Barbara's son..I haven't seen him since he was a small child..his Grandmother Margie was my Father Billy Ford's sister.
My sympathies to the family...May your faith in the Lord help you get through this and the coming days.
Much love to all...
