Nora, Tracey, Caitlyn, Samantha and Dylan,
I want to offer my deepest condolences. As you know, Lisa and I have been friends for many years ( since I was in 8th grade). We lost touch over the years, but thanks to our children we reconnected and it was like we never missed a beat. We had so many great time and I am so thankful for every memory we made. Lisa helped me through the most painful time of my life, the loss of my parents. I'm sure she thought she didn't do anything, but I can't count how many times she sat on the other side of the phone and just listened to me cry. I always admired and sometimes envied how strong she was and that she never seemed afraid to try new things. We spent hours talking about our kids, family our past relationships anything and everything. When she talked about Caitlyn, Sam and Dylan she'd always get a twinkle in her eye and I always knew how much she loved and how proud she was of them. She will always stay in my heart and thoughts. She was like a sister to me and I knew if ever I needed someone, she'd be
there and always had my back. Just as I would hers. I will miss her honesty whether you wanted to hear it or not , her laughter and her beauty both inside and out. Please allow all of your memories with her help you through this painful time and watch for her signs that she is with you. If there is anything at all I can do, please let me know. All my love and sympathy, Missy

To the Family...my thoughts and prayers are with you all.
To Lisa...I met you at Hiram Dodd Elementary School and you were the first friendly face I saw at Weisenberg Elementary on my first day of school after moving from Allentown. Roller skating at Route 100, midnight runs to Trexlertown McDonalds after skating, the year I basically Lived at your house and we would watch movies, call boys, cool off in the stream by your house, tried to walk to the nearest gas station, making the best homemade french fries and going to the movies to see The Outsiders and we all cried. God put you in my life for a reason and I will always cherish theses memories. May you rest in peace.

I can't comprehend just how sad you must feel
For the loss of someone you love.
This sorrowful time must still feel unreal
And you're looking for strength from above.
I hope, from my heart, that your pain will decrease,
That your spirit will gain strength again,
And I pray that your faith will create inner peace
And that God will send blessings..Amen

I can't say I know her as well as her other friends that will post here but I do remember the sassy looks she'd give me when I'd crack a joke in class when I was a lowly freshman back in 86 who was in with a group of seniors. What I do know is she was a decent human being and will be missed by all who came into contact w/ her. R.I.P. Lisa Slough-Smothers. My deepest/sincerest condolences to her family.

Mom, these past 2 years practically all I've thought about are the things you'll be missing. Recently, all I've thought about are the things we already shared together. I already miss your strange cravings that make no sense, our "break out in dance moves" moments that we had in the car when a silly song came on. It made me realize how short life really is. It's still hard to believe that you're not here. Or at least not the way I want you to be. I miss you. I find myself nearly in tears when it comes to every simple memory we had together. I just never thought the day would come when I'd have to say goodbye to you. I hope that you're happy where you are, and with the people you're now surrounded by. I wouldn't have traded these past two years with you for anything else.

My prayers go out to all of you...and Tracy, you are the absolute best Sis there is!!

I'll miss you mama. I may not have been your biological daughter, but you always treated us girls as if we were. I still can't beleive you're gone. It's as if I lost my own mother. I'll always remember the times you yelled at us for doing stuff we shouldn't have been, hugging us when we were sad, talking to us about how dumb boys are (Haha) and being a true roll model. Let your beauty shine down on us all. Rest in peice, I'll always have a place for you in my heart. XOXO.

I didn't know you, but I did know your sister quite well. She loved you so much, and it definitely showed. She was a proud sister, Very proud to call you Sissy. The time she spent taking care of you was never regretted once by her. Her life would've been on hold forever just to have you by her side. You are with the Lord now, pain free, and someday will see all your loved ones again. RIP Lisa! Whoever is loved by my friend Tracey, is loved by me.

Lisa and I were childhood friends since 7th grade. Unfortunately we did not stay in contact after we graduated but I often thought about Lisa and others that we hung with in our group of friends. I only recently got in contact through Facebook and there were many days I wanted to reach out and get together. I wish I did. I will always remember the great times we had. Until the day we meet again. God bless and rest in piece. Lots of love. Robin
