Lisa Ann Stivers

Sammamish - Lisa Ann Stivers, 63, passed away January 27, 2025 after a courageous, 30 year battle with cancer. She was born August 20th 1961 in Seattle, Wa., to Robert (Bob) and Ardelle Stacey. Lisa grew up in Renton with sister Mary, Bob, who worked for the Boeing Co. and Ardelle, who was a stay at home mom. In 1979 Lisa graduated from Kentridge High School and went on to graduate from the University of Washington with a degree in architecture in 1984. She spent her career working for Freiheit & Ho Architects in Bellevue, WA. and was promoted to Associate where she worked from 1986 until 2015 when she retired.

Growing up, Lisa's family made many trips to the Peninsula to visit Lisa's grandparents, Bill & Pearl Stacey who owned & operated Stacey's Sunset View Court in Ocean Park & Wilson Packing Co. in Nahcotta. Lisa enjoyed razor clamming, salmon fishing and raking steamer clams. Lisa's dad, an avid salmon fisherman bought a 21 foot trophy boat equipped with the 1st in the family, indoor toilet! a game changer for all the women in the family. In the summer of 1979, Lisa and sister Mary went to live with Grandma Stacey "at the beach" and worked at Jolly Roger Oysters in Nahcotta shucking oysters to earn money for college.

Lisa's dad encouraged her and her sister to start traveling to Europe after he went to Germany several times on business trips for Boeing. The first trip was in 1987 where they toured Germany and neighboring countries for a 3 week driving trip. The next trip was in 1990 to visit Athens and several of the Greek Islands. After that, many more European vacations were enjoyed throughout the years.

In 1992 Lisa married Bill Stivers of Federal Way, WA and they had 33 wonderful years together. With her husband Bill being one of seven siblings, Lisa married into this large incredible family that she shared with her family. The Stivers' family was so welcoming that the Stacey family spent the holidays and birthdays together.

In August of 1999, Lisa's mom Ardelle Stacey purchased a new home to put on their Ocean Park property. So many great memories were enjoyed while sitting around the backyard campfire and hosting family and friends to go razor clamming.

Lisa was such an inspiration for all those that knew and loved her. She had a quick wit and she could always make you laugh.

She is survived by her beloved husband Bill Stivers. She was preceded in death by her parents. Lisa is survived by her sister Mary Stacey of Renton, WA., Aunt Judy Koreis of Centralia, WA cousin Annette(Scott) Diehl of West Pasco, WA, cousin Pamm(Jim) Rodgers of Vancouver, WA., cousin Joan Nanson of Vancouver, WA and several other cousins.

Hello I'm Ferrelyn , Lisa's best friend since meeting at UW at the age of 18. As others have said Lisa made each day a positive experience. We shared many adventures and laughs for about 45 years!
After two years in the dorm, we moved into an apartment near campus. Lisa made it clear that she does not clean toilets! Bill can attest to that haha. She did not care for my eggs(odor) and I could not stand her sauteed chicken livers!
Lisa kept us active playing racquetball, tennis and swimming. We usually had laughing attacks crippling our game. We continued tennis and swimming off and on until our late 30s. So glad we shared local trips, Canada, Hawaii and many walks over the years. I will miss Lisa forever.
