Lisa is proof that an extraordinary life need not be a long life. She will always be the angel on my shoulder.

Dear Bertie and Kenny,

I was very saddened to hear about Lisa. When mom told me she had been diagnosed with melanoma, she said , "I don't know if you will remember her". I did, in fact, remember Lisa. I have some very vivid and fun memories of her in our childhood that I would like to share with you.

I don't remember how old I was, probably around 10-12 years old, and mom brought me over to

your house. I remember a big, old beautifully restored house with Lisa's bedroom on the second floor. It was full of plastic horses and she had a four-poster bed in the middle. One night mom had dropped me off to play and spend the night. It was a very hot evening, and we had the window opened with an air conditioner propped in the window. Somehow it fell out and fell all the way down to the ground and made the biggest noise. You (Birdie) came running in and said, "Oh my God, I thought one of you fell out the window!" Lisa and I thought this was the funniest thing and were on the bed laughing.

I remember Lisa being a beautiful, outgoing girl with an athletic build as compared to my awkward and shy self at the time. We would go to the swimming pool and go down slides. I remember trying to keep up with her. She had a pretty smile and I remember wanting to be like her.

Having children myself now I can not imagine the loss of a child. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I was fortunate to know Lisa during a short period of her life but I remember her exuberance and self-assuredness.

I know that everyone she touched was blessed by her presence. May God be with you at this difficult time.

Love, Kristen Matsik

Lisa was a one of a kind person. Though her family, friends and the world lost a wonderful person, The Lord gained an unwaivering angel.

Lisa was always such a happy person and full of life. She enjoyed all of her pursuits to the fullest. This is what it is to live. She will be sorely missed in the veterinary world, and by all whose lives she touched. It is tragic to see one so gifted and loved taken so early. We are certainly too young to have a classmate pass out of this world. My thoughts and prayers to her family and friends.

It is a sad day for me to hear of Dr. Lisa Tedora's passing. She worked one summer in my laboratory, so I had the privilege to work with her. Her dedication and commitment to science in general and veterinary medicine in particular is what I remember. My condolences to her family and friends.

Lisa is a such wonderful person. I enjoyed every minute I ever spent with her. She was always so positive, bright and friendly. When she was awarded the opportunity to go to vet school, it was like a dream come true for her. She loved riding horses and the years I spent teaching her to ride were a great pleasure. She wanted to buy her own horse and God sent her a grant that she used to buy one of my horses, Silky and she gave him many beautiful years as her partner. I am sure all her family, friends and animals will miss her as much as I do and that Heaven has a very special place for a woman like Lisa Marie Tedora.

It is hard to find the right words to describe such a wonder and beutiful person. She always had a smile for you and kind words just when you needed them most. It was a pleasure to have gotten the opportunity to work with her but most of all to have been able to say she was my friend. Lisa is a person that will be greatly missed but never forgotten.

Dr. Tedora will be sorely missed by my family. She was compassionate, caring, thoughtful, and patient. She epitomized her profession. We send our love, prayers, and condolences to her family. I think that perhaps God needed accupunture for his knees. Dr. Tedora is surely in heaven.

Please accept my condolences on behalf of Mattaponi Kennel Club of Manassas, Virginia. Lisa was a lovely and accomplished woman. We were fortunate to have her make a presentation to our club, as well participate in some of our agility classes. She will clearly be missed by the community that she served so well.
