As piano teacher to Lisa's girls, I remember Lisa as very positive and selfless. She surprised me by preparing an eye-catching poster for the school as well as willingly offering a reference on my behalf. Oh...and how about those invitations to 'stay for dinner' after their lessons?!
Your lovely smile will be sorely missed, dear Lisa....

dear David and Family,

I really could almost not believe the very sad news I read in your letter today. We had no idea Lisa was unwell, let alone preparing to die. I am humbled that you both worked so hard for your clients at this unhappy time.

Unfortunately, we did not know Lisa well, but I do remember how comfortable she made my mother when helping her buy/sell her home and move, and we were both very grateful for that. I remember seeing Lisa at Karen Magnussen with her kids, just when I was going through the same phase with mine. She was always friendly and welcoming, and of course she had that gorgeous smile and mane of hair one could not resist.

I think of the loss of your sister and business partner, of a wife, and most of all I feel for her kids. I am sure you and their family will provide them with a lot of love and memories of their mother, and I imagine you will always be able to see her in them, which is a blessing.

Thank you for letting us know. We send you our deep condolences.

To All of Lisa's Family,
I have only known Lisa through Silver Harbour Seniors' Center over the past four years. She came into the Centre to visit Linda and always radiated positive energy and a big happy smile. Just her presence made you feel better! She helped support the Centre by helping Linda with a variety of things and also by serving breakfast on Mother's Day to the Seniors. Lisa also came to the craft fairs and what a shopper she was! She always had bags of goodies and as she shopped she would often say the name of the person and how much they would love it. This made the Seniors feel good about what they had made. She also loved the challenge of the Silent Auction and she was very determined and had great strategies to get the things she liked. My favourite memory was at the November Craft Fair of 2010 as I watched her at the jewelery table choosing things that Alannah and Veronica would love. Her daughters were so important to her and she was so excited to be finding things she thought would delight them!

I am also a member of the Lynn Valley Garden Club and Lisa was one of our best customers at Spring Plant Sales. She would come early do a quick walk around and then fill flats and flats of plants for her garden. I loved to watch her shop as she knew what she wanted and what were excellent buys. Again she was a very ardent supporter of a local organization!

Through these two different organizations, I just got to know a very small part of who Lisa was but her determination, a presence that radiated happiness and her love for her family were very evident.
Lisa had such a positive, loving, energetic spirit that I know her family will truly miss her.

With deepest sympathy,
Joyce Page

May it comfort you and your family to know, that when you lose a loved one who has meant so much and touched so many people's lives, the grief that you are feeling cannot take away the happiness you all shared, and that the sorrow will fade in time but the love will remain forever. I will miss your gorgeous smile!
