Lisa Deon Peterson Warnick, born November 17, 1955, in American Fork, Utah to Donald H. and Melissa Hansen Peterson, passed into the arms of her Heavenly Father, February 18, 2007, surrounded by her loving family.
Lisa had a gift of uplifting all who knew her and her wisdom, intuition, caring, and attention to detail made everyone her best friend. Gifts from Lisa were for everyone she knew, not just "a" gift, they were "the" gift from the heart.
Her home was a place of warmth and gathering as she gave so freely of herself in cooking and serving delicious meals for every holiday, birthday, or special occasion. Lisa was a beautiful, elect lady, and her blue eyes, wit, and contagious laughter were like rays of sunshine.
Lisa was deeply spiritual and was awed by nature and God's handiwork and showed in her love for gardening, art, music, animals, photography.
She was given the marvelous gift of testimony in the truthfulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. She counseled her family to love the Lord, live His commandments, and to "walk in faith".
Lisa is survived by her loving husband and soul-mate, Paul; daughters: Jann and Don Wakefield, Jaime and Chet Robinson; Lindsay and Jake Warr; step-children: Haylie, Stephanie, and Kenneth Paul Warnick; "cuter than yours" grandchildren: Camille, Trevor, and Ryan Wakefield; Olivia and Harris Robinson; her parents; sister and brother-in-law, Tami and David Miner; brother, Lance Peterson; in-laws, Steve and Nelda Warnick; her "never-in-a-million-years" spoiled cat, Tiffany; and numerous other dear extended family members.
To honor Lisa's life funeral services will be held Saturday, February 24, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in the Manila Eleventh Ward Chapel, 3500 North 1270 West, Pleasant Grove. Friends may call Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Olpin Family Mortuary, 494 South 300 East, Pleasant Grove and at the church on Saturday one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the American Fork City Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.olpinfamilymortuary.com.

I am joining the ranks of many high school friends who have written here. I too thought Lisa was a sweet friend, who treated us all with kindness. I don't remember a negative thing about her, (except I was recently reminded by Robyn, that she swiped the teachers roll for our newspaper class because we were all tardy or late so often. Thanks Lisa...) She had a fun sense of humor and a bright smile! Best wishes to her loving family who will surely miss her.

Dear Jann and Family,

I just wanted to express my love for you and let you know how truly sorry I am for your loss. Lisa was a sweet and caring person. She was always kind and pleasant to be around. She always showed love and support for me. It was such a comfort to know that I had her love and support whenever I needed it. I was so grateful to her for allowing me to share my love for Jann and her family with no strings attached. Her face could light up a room when she spoke about her family. I hope that I can be a strength and support for all of you. I know without a shadow of a doubt that FAMILIES ARE FOREVER and that we will all see Lisa again. I know that I am truly a better prson for having Lisa is my life.
Jann I love you Don and the kids with all my heart and always will.

Love Lori

My other mom-Lisa was the greatest example to me of what a mother should be. Growing up with Jann as my very best friend Lisa became my other mother. She always welcomed me in, took me on family vacations and above all encouraged me to push forward in this sometimes to difficult world. I had often wished that Lisa was my mother. She was not only mother to her children but their best friend as well. I know that heaven will welcome Lisa with open arms. Lisa was far to beautiful for this world. She will make heaven a more lovely place.
All my love to those who will miss Lisa the most. But were so blessed to call her Family.

I was very sad to hear of Lisa's passing. Lisa made a huge impact on my life and has influenced me in many ways. Lisa was like another mom to me and everyone of us Musicland kids. She made us laugh and Lisa is one of the strongest women i have ever met, and she did everything with a smile. Everything Lisa did was for the happiness of her family. Light and love to Lisa's family at this time of loss.

My heart was in a very dark place when I heard of Lisa's passing. She was such an amazing person in so many ways. Of all the friends that I call my own, she stands out as one of the very best. She helped me through some of the roughest periods of my adolescence. Many were the times that I went to her house next door in tears, and she consoled me and made me feel better about everything. I will miss her with all my heart. May God bless her and her family forever.

With Deepest Love,

Just wanted to share a memory of Lisa with you. One late afternoon last Summer Lisa was sitting on Don and Jann's front porch blowing up some inflatible toys for her Grandkids, Cami, Trevor, Olivia, and Harris. They had just spent the day swimming in the Homestead Crater, and were now home enjoying more fun together. I asked how her day had been and she, looking as happy as anyone could possibly be in this life, said, "It has been so wonderful. It's my favorite thing, being with my grandkids, I love them so much!"
There were a lot of times last Summer that I walked by and Lisa was sitting outside with her daughters and grandkids just spending time enjoying eachother and always greeting passerby's like me with a huge welcome and a compliment.

I am so sorry to hear of Lisa's passing. I considered her one of my good friends. Even though I haven't seen her for years, she often comes to mind when I think of high school days and good friends. May the Lord look after Lisa's family.

Thank you Lisa for always making me feel welcome and loved as a new member of the family. You were always so genuine and sincerely interested.Your engaging smile and expressions communicated your sincerity, depth and genuine interest in people. You have the gift of empathy and insight that could only have been acquired through valiantly enduring life's challenges and difficulties. You have taught us the deeper meaning of life through your example and unconditional acceptance. You have the gift of love for others and we have been lifted to higher grounds because of our association with you. You are missed and deeply appreciated.

My heart broke on Monday when I got the call about Lisa. I haven't seen her for several years, but whenever I think back to highschool she is always there. I will always remember the 1st day we met, it was our first day of school in 7th grade. She was sitting in front of me and the class was having elections for the class presidency. Lisa was elected president and I was elected vice president, we didn't even know each other and she turned around and congratulated me, we were friends from that day on. I had great respect for Lisa, she was so confident and I knew by the things she said to me and did for me that she was truly one of my best friends. I will always love her and miss her and look forward to the day we will see her again.
