Thomas Carrigan Obituary
Thomas Mitchell Carrigan, 47, left his family all too soon on April 13, 2013. Tom was born June 12, 1965 in Salt Lake City at LDS Hospital. He grew up in Copperton and graduated from Bingham High.
A second family came into our lives when Dad got the job that he loved at Huish Detergents with "the guys". This is also where he met and later married the love of his life Stephanie Wulf on May 4, 1997 and they started their beautiful family together. Tommy loved spending time with his family, tinkering in his garage, playing in his garden, working on his coins, and most importantly, being a grandpa. On June 27, 2005 a third family was given to us. Our lives were forever changed by the Utah Heart Failure Transplant team. These angels gave us 8 more wonderful years. You are not just doctors, nurses, and staff - you are forever family. Tommy touched the lives of all who knew him and will be so greatly missed by all.
He was preceded in death by his mother Mary Carrigan, his father-in-law, Willy Wulf and his grandparents, Jack and Mary Jones, and Tom and Ada Carrigan.
Tommy is survived by his wife Stephanie and 3 children: Darin Rigby (Amber), Sara Orr (Jared), and Konar; 5 grandchildren: Kenzi, Carson, Kayson, Gavin, and Kiya; his father Tom Carrigan, mother-in-law Kaylin Wulf; brothers Scott (Lorann), Steve, Danny (Becky); in-laws Windy Cleavland (Rick), Stan Wulf (Nuriza), Bill Wulf (Camron), Karin Parker (Derk), and 12 nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers Tom and his family requests donations be made to The Heart Failure and Transplant Program in his name through Intermountain Research & Medical Foundation, 8th Avenue & C Street, Salt Lake City, UT 84143, 801-408-1775.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2013, 11:00 am at Redwood Memorial Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan. Viewings will be held on Friday evening from 6-8:00 p.m. and again on Saturday, one hour prior to the service.
"Tommy had life so Tommy gave sight". Tommy was a heart recipient and felt strongly about organ and tissue donation, so he gave his corneas so that another could see.

WOW Daddy the last few days we have talked to many people and they all say the same thing... What an AMAZING man you are and all the ways you touched every life you came into. Tom, I can't find the words to tell you how much I appreciated the relationship and the way you treated Steph (my sister). You are her one true love and nobody deserved that more than you both did. You made her happy, you took excellent care of her and both of your kids. You were also a great friend to her and any one she brought into your lives. Me and Dirk always loved spending time with you and Steph, you always had entertaining stories and made us all laugh. I'm so very happy that you don't have to experience all the health crap you had to go through any more and we will always be there to keep Steph company so don't worry she has so many people that love her. Say hi to Willie for me and thanks for touching my life. I have always been proud to call toy my brother-in-law.

Uncle tommy, you are such an amazing man. You were always some one I looked up to and went to for advice. There was never a conversation aunt Steph and I had that you would not join ( in the back ground of course ) no matter how sick you were you always had high spirits and jokes. There are no words to express how much I'm going to miss those wonderful conversations we would have. You brought so much light to everyone's life, you and Steph taught me what true love really is and being in love with your best friend. Picking your battles and enjoying every day you get to spend together. I know your with grandpa drinking coffee and talking about fishing . I love you and hope you rest in peace my sweet uncle .

Hey ole boy,They say a friend will bail you out when you get into trouble but if they are a good friend they will be right there with you. That says it all about us. I still remember when you threw that box over my head and I drove the go cart through the window at the school! You never got tired of your little brother taggin along. Tommy was such a good person. I will always remember the time he helped me fix a broken chain on my bike when I was a kid. He drove by and saw my dilemma while I was limping my bike back home to Leadmine. 15 min later he showed up at my house with another chain and put it on for me. He did not say a word to me but just nodded his head when he saw how happy I was. He hopped in his car and took off before I could thank him. That's just how he was.. a really great guy. Thank You Tommy! May you rest in peace.

Stephanie, sense the time I heard Tom had passed away a flood of thoughts keeps going through my mind and with those thoughts come a smile. I really enjoyed being around Tom at work and other places I was able to go with Tom. My thoughts and prayers now go out to you and your family.

Steph, my heart breaks for you. You are a strong lady and have lots of people that love you. Don't be affraid to reach out when you need a shoulder, or even just someone to sit with.
