Rev. Lloyd Anderson "Andy" Foreman

FOREMAN Rev. Lloyd Anderson ""Andy'' Foreman, age 79, a native of Kaplan, LA and resident of Lockport, LA, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, November 2, 2005. He is survived by his wife, Rev. Peggy Foreman; and four children: Pamela F. Testroet of Houma, LA, Douglas Foreman of Lockport, LA, Erin Duplantis of Houma, LA and Jared Foreman of Lockport, LA. Father-in-law of Bill, Darnell, Chuck and Meredith. Son-in-law of Tootsie Barrios. Brother-in-law of Richard Barrios. He is also survived by nine grandchildre, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edva and Victoria Foreman; and one brother, Ed Foreman. He was a graduate of Centenary College, Emory University, Temple University and Boston University. Reverend foreman was a dedicated ordained United Methodist minister for 53 years serving churches in Massachusetts, Nebraska and Louisiana. For a number of years, he served as an appointed Evangelist of the United Methodist Church. He was a civil rights activist and played a very important role in the integration of the New Orleans Public School System in 1960. Religious Services will be held at Memorial United Methodist Church, 201 Central Lafourche Dr., Mathews, LA on Monday, November 7, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Sunday and from 8:00 a.m. until funeral time Monday at Memorial United Methodist Church.
