Lloyd E. Meyer

I have fond memories of Lloyd with John Bimson and Cliff Taylor of Northwestern Lumbermen's Association. Lloyd was one of the kindess, most sincere and caring people I have ever met. My deepest sympathy to his wife, Marie and family.

I was so sorry to read of Lloyd Meyer's obituary today. Unfortunately I didn't read the paper until this evening - too late to go to the visitation. I certainly will try to go to the memorial tomorrow. I worked with "Mr. Meyer" for 7 years at Northwestern Lumbermen. My oldest daughter was a little girl at the time and Mr. Meyer was always known as the candy man and did he have a way with the children. My daughter looked forward to coming to the office because she knew that Mr. Meyer would pull a dime from behind his ear and give it to her. I have so many good memories of Mr. Meyer. He was such a kind man. Our original office was very small - in fact, out of the 9 of us, there are only two of us living, me and John Bimson. I will always remember "Mr. Meyer." My thoughts and prayers go to Marie and the family.

I will dearly miss Uncle Lloyd's coffee, one of the many treasures we have shared over the lifetime I've had the privilege of knowing him. I have been inspired, encouraged, and given but a glimpse of the quality of life one can enjoy in later years. Thank you again, Lloyd, for sharing yourself with my own immediate family in writing the lovely piece for the funeral of my father, Herman Severson, as well as sharing many of your writings.  I cannot think of a more fitting tribute than to remember the words written from your heart.

We have all lost a very special person, a husband, father,Grandfather, Uncle and special friend in Lloyd Meyer.

There are not many people who can say they lost their loved one at the age of 103. It was a priviledge to have shared my life with him, he was a wonderful Uncle.

To his family you are in my thoughts and prayers, I am so sorry that I cannot be with you, but know I am there in spirit, though not in person. It is hard to write this, as Uncle Lloyd was such an articulate speaker and writer, and I just bet he is up in heaven wishing he could format this for me.
