Loel Baldwin,94, passed away after a brief illness in Vero Beach , FL. She was a long time resident of New Canaan, CT., spending most winters in Vero Beach, FL. Cy, who passed away eight years ago, and Loel were active members of the New Canaan Country Club since 1974. Loel graduated from the University of Colorado and studied Law in Detroit. She went on to be one of this countries first female security analyst. Known for her hosting skills, Loel had many parties in New Canaan. A long time member of the Garden Club there, Loel loved her home town. She is survived by her son and daughter, Trip and Shelby; three grandchildren, Austin,Ian and Kendall; three great grandsons, Owen, Casey and Connor. Her marriage to Cy Baldwin was a a love story like no other. It has been a struggle being apart. We rejoice in their reunion in Heaven. Loel Amberg Baldwin

I just found out that Loel has died. So sorry to all of the family. I just have so many memories of Dad driving Loel and Patty Reighley home from dinner at the club. Loel often spoke of her little dog on these rides. Loel always looked great, not a hair out of order. A wonderful conversationalist. Oh, how I treasure those memories.
