Tom and Pam Dunlap
October 6, 2023
The Alensons and the Dunlaps have been very close for all my life and before. Through all the years and the miles of separation, this has never altered or faded.
When I was young and wandering and looking for my place in the world, Lois and Bob welcomed me into their home which I considered home for four years. I have many great memories from that time of the conversations and laughter, standing in the kitchen by the woodstove and the time spent with you all.
To Bob and to my northern sisters Ginny, Marianne, and Audrey, I love and appreciate you all very much for all you have given me. I will miss Lois very much until I see her again and I hope your memories are a great comfort to you all. I cannot think or talk of Lois without feeling great happiness and that is hers and your great gift to me. Pam and I remember you often and we cherish the love between us.
"Perhaps each one of you know that the tongue of love is dumb. The feelings of heart cannot be expressed in words. The power has not been given to the words to express the feelings of the heart."
Kirpal Singh
With all our love, Tom and Pam
Fletcher Lokey
September 13, 2023
I am Fletcher Lokey. I live at Sant Bani Ashram, which is where I had a lot of fun with Lois. For years she was a reliable sevadar, coming every Tuesday to spend the day working in the ashram office, along with Ginny Peterson and Ruby King. I frequently took my lunch at their lunch time, and it was just a bunch of fun! The obit mentions her "wry sense of humor", and that nailed it! We delighted in each other's company, and even as I will always remember her with such warmth, I also feel the memory of her strong and steady kindness and decency. It makes me feel like boasting that I was Lois Alenson's friend.
God bless her soul.

I loved Mrs. Alenson. Marianne and I were best friends growing up in Mountainside and I always felt welcomed and loved in her home. Lois comforted me when my Mom passed in 2022. I love all the Alensons and offer sympathy at this sad time.
