BROWN, Lois Irene Osterberg

Our family matriarch, Lois Irene Osterberg Brown has left this world and joined the angels in heaven on December 19, 2013 after a brief illness. She lived 81 wonderful years. She leaves behind a large family who will miss her deeply.

She is preceded in death by her husband Jess Brown, daughter Diane L. Pogue, mother and father Addie and Walter Osterberg, brother Jim Osterberg.

She is survived by daughters Cheryl Olson (Jim Peterson) of Eleva, WI; Jan Williams (Santiago Cortes) of Round Rock, TX; step daughters Lori Griffin, Val Campbell, Lynn Mendoza and families; partner Jack Graham and family of Cedar Park, TX; grandchildren James R. Pogue, Sr (Anricka Ziller) of Allen, TX, Justin D. Pogue (Annie Pogue) of Liberty Hill, TX, Mindy Williams of Austin, TX, Amanda Olson of Eleva, WI; great-grandchildren Alexis G. and James R. Pogue, Jr. and one on the way of Allen, TX, Taylor D. and Callie L. Pogue, Troy and Mason Herrin of Liberty Hill, TX; sisters Peg Streed (Ed Streed) of Coon Rapids, MN and Anne O'Flynn (Bruce Kelly) of Elbow Lake, MN and countless cousins, nephews, nieces.

She was born on July 21, 1932 in Willmar, MN. She grew up in Kensington, MN where she graduated in 1950 as Salutatorian. She studied nursing in college and began a long career helping people. She worked for the Wisconsin State Department of Health. She moved to Texas and worked for the Texas Department of Health. She loved to travel the country with her family as evident by the mountains of pictures and photo albums in her home. Countless holidays were spent in her happy home with family.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to American Cancer Society and Special Olympics - Texas.

Services were held Monday, December 23, 2013 at 3pm at Lakeline Oaks, 1905 Lakeline Blvd Cedar Park, TX.
