Lois Dammann Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Dec. 14, 2025.
Lois Dammann, 79, of Athens/Evensville, Tennessee, and formerly of Shelton, Washington, passed away at Hospice Care Center in Chattanooga on December 11, 2025.

Born in Shelton, Washington in 1946, Lois was the daughter of the late Donald and Wilma Bowman and is survived by her younger brother, Lee "Butch" (Gloria) Bowman. Lois established a lifelong career in Interior Sales and Design in her hometown of Shelton, where she brightened many homes with her unique flair and enthusiasm.

Lois married Ralph Dammann in 1991, and together they spent many cherished years. Lois resided in Shelton for the majority of her life, a place she held dear, until 2023 when she and Ralph embarked on an adventure, moving to Tennessee to be closer to her son and daughter-in-law.

Socially vibrant, Lois was often described as the "life of the party." She approached life joyfully and unabashedly, lighting up any room she entered with her openness, wonderful sense of humor, and penchant for telling engaging stories. She was very much cherished by all who had the benefit of knowing her.

Lois is survived by her loving husband, Ralph Dammann; her son, A. Scott Brown (Leeann); her stepchildren, David (Verity) Dammann and Amanda (Cyrus) Mojibi; beloved grandchildren; and a host of friends and extended family who will miss her dearly.

Following her wishes, a formal service will not take place. Lois will instead be privately cherished in the hearts and memories of all those who were ever graced by her charmed company and affections. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests you consider donating to your local pet shelter or planting a flower or tree in her memory. These gestures beautifully honor her loving heart for all creatures and her joy of gardening.
